PROP CHALLENGE SURVIVAL SYSTEM v1 · pre-sale

For traders mid-challenge — or about to start one

Your $100K prop account isn't your risk capital.
Your drawdown allowance is.

Know exactly how much risk your challenge can actually absorb — before you place the next trade. Turn your firm's drawdown rules into a daily risk budget, pre-trade limits, and a survival plan for the whole challenge.

You're not trading a $100,000 account.
You're managing a $10,000 survival budget.
  • $100,000 nominal account
  • $90,000 you never had it
  • $10,000 drawdown envelope

Sound familiar?

"Failed again. And it wasn't my strategy."

Most traders don't fail challenges because their edge is broken. They fail because they sized up after a few wins, forced setups near the target, or crossed a drawdown line they misread.

"I wasn't even close to the max drawdown. What happened?"

Trailing vs. static. Balance vs. equity. Floating P/L. Daily reset times. Consistency rules. Most breaches happen because the trader was measuring risk against the wrong number.

15 challenges in 6 months. 80 evaluations before the first payout.

Real numbers from real traders. Industry data shows the average account spends ~$800 across multiple challenge attempts — and ~70% of failures come from hitting loss limits, not missing profit targets. [sources]

Passing a challenge is less about making big profits and more about avoiding big mistakes. Treat it like a risk-management test — not a profit race — and passing becomes repeatable.

Your challenge has a hidden budget. We make it visible.

Every prop challenge gives you two invisible walls: your daily loss limit and your overall drawdown. The space between your current equity and those walls is your drawdown envelope — your actual risk capital.

The Survival System turns your firm's specific rules into:

  1. A daily risk budget — how much you can lose today without breaching either limit (with a safety margin for spread, slippage, and gaps)
  2. A pre-trade gate — GO / REDUCE / NO TRADE for your next position, sized against your remaining buffer
  3. A loss-streak reality check — how many full losses your envelope survives, and how likely that streak is at your win rate
  4. A challenge-long tracker — both envelopes recalculated every trading day, from day 1 to payout

What's inside

Works for the funded phase too — same envelope, higher stakes. Most traders' real fear isn't passing; it's how many funded accounts they blow before the first payout.

It's a Google Sheet. On purpose.

No login, no subscription, no app that dies in six months. You enter your firm's official parameters once (5 config fields cover static/trailing, balance/equity, floating P/L, reset time), confirm them against your firm's current rules, and trade.

Rule scope — and what V1 does not cover

V1 covers the two rule architectures we can test deterministically: static overall drawdown and trailing end-of-day. Apex-style intraday trailing is not yet supported — instead of guessing your buffer, we say so.

Objections, answered

"Won't this make me too defensive to pass?"

No — and this matters. The System doesn't shrink your risk "just because." It tells you how much normal trading your envelope can absorb. If your data says risk 0.5% per trade, the System shows whether your envelope supports that through a realistic losing streak — so you can trade your plan without flinching, instead of cutting winners early out of fear. Budget as permission, not as a brake.

"Can't I just use a free calculator?"

Free position-size calculators answer one trade. They don't track both envelopes across the challenge, don't handle trailing drawdown or floating P/L, don't simulate losing streaks, and don't stop you at the gate before the trade that breaches you.

"Can't ChatGPT build this for me?"

It can build a spreadsheet. Whether its drawdown logic matches your firm's actual rules (trailing lock, EOD vs. intraday, balance vs. equity) is exactly the mistake that costs challenges. This sheet's logic is documented, conservative by design (rounding always against you, safety margin built in), and you can inspect every formula.

"Which prop firms does it support?"

You enter your challenge's official parameters yourself and confirm them against your firm's current rules — the config fields cover the real-world rule variants. No stale firm database that silently goes wrong when rules change. V1 supports static overall drawdown and trailing end-of-day. Apex-style intraday trailing: not yet supported — join the waitlist.

"Will this make me pass my challenge?"

No tool can promise that, and you should distrust anyone who does. What it does: it shows your real risk budget before every trade, so avoidable rule breaches stop deciding your challenge. It promises risk transparency, not trading performance.

Who this is not for

This is for traders who already have an edge and keep losing paid challenges to avoidable risk and rule mistakes.
